Firstly, the guidelines for stone crushing units categorize these units into small, medium, and large-scale operations based on capacity. To clarify,
“small” units have a capacity of 25 TPH,
“medium” units range from 25 to 100 TPH, and
“large” units are those operating above 100 TPH. -
Secondly, it is now compulsory for stone-crushing units to obtain Consent to Operate (CTO) and Consent to Establish (CCA) from their respective State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs).

Moreover, the guidelines clearly define the operating hours for all stone-crushing units, specifically from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

In addition, the emission norms are now mandatory for all stone-crushing units, making it imperative for them to comply with these environmental standards.

Furthermore, the guidelines specify that ambient air quality monitoring stations shall be set up on the premises for continuous monitoring of air quality.

Lastly, within 30 days, CCTV cameras shall be installed on the premises for continuous monitoring of activities, ensuring transparency and adherence to the regulations.
