The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has been amended the new E-Waste (Management) Rule, 2022. E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022 is released to bring clarity about E-Waste. The definition of consumer is deleted and Entity which has used at least one thousand units of electrical and electronic equipment listed in Schedule I, at any point of time in the particular financial year are considered as bulk consumers. The legal obligation for the consumer is now made easier because an annual return is now NOT required to submit by the consumer. The definition of E-Waste is defined to bring clarity. According to the provision under E-Waste (Management) Amendment Rules, 2023 , two more items has been added in 35 items are described in Schedule II so now there is total 108 items are there including all schedules.
