The “Green-Channel” system expedites consent renewals by categorizing units as “Compliant” or “Non-Compliant” based on site compliance. Non-compliant units are excluded, with eligibility limited to those with a clean compliance history. Renewals focus on existing capacity and pollution sources, and approvals are granted within 7 days by Group-Incharge/Regional Officers without higher-level approval.

The GIC and IT Cell are developing a marking system based on compliance observations during inspections, operational by 08.09.2023. Regional Officers must upload reports and recommendations in the MIS by 14.09.2023 for units and applications pending as of 01.09.2023 and those expiring within the next 6 months.

The system is effective for all Consent to Operate applications from 15.09.2023, covering both existing and new applications.
