The Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change has released the notification on genset. The notification is applicable for all fuels and the power category slabs were revised to five from three. As per the general conditions of this notification, Genset engines and Gensets with the old standards can be supplied only till 30th June 2023.
In the amended notification proviso was inserted in general condition granting exemption from revised standards to all Genset and Genset Engine manufacturers for supply and manufacture of Genset and Genset Engines up to 30th June 2024 against the purchase orders issued on or before 30th June 2023.
In this regard, it has been decided that:
(i) All Genset and Genset Engine manufacturers and suppliers should submit the details of confirmed purchase/supply orders received from end users or their suppliers till 30th June 2023 to CPCB before 31st July 2023.
(ii) These orders should also be published on the Website of concerned Genset and Genset Engine manufacturer before 31st July 2023.
(iii) CPCB will ensure that benefit of the above referred notification is availed only by those Manufactures and suppliers who comply with the above conditions and in accordance with the said notification.
