Environment (Protection) Fourth Amendment Rules, 2023

The Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change has released Environment (Protection) Fourth Amendment Rules 2023.

These new rules are for the addition of the new condition in Schedule I. The rule stated that In the Environment (Protection) Rules 1986, in schedule I, in the entries against serial number 88, in item “C. the General Condition”, in condition 12, the following proviso shall be inserted,

“Provided that the supply of Genset and Genset engine in respect of which purchase order has been received by the manufacturer on or before the 30th June 2023 shall be permitted up to the 30th June 2024 as per the norms defined in this condition.”
