According to The Gujarat Factories Rules, 1963 a competent person must test a Hydraulic tests of pressure vessel. As it is legal requirement so, all factories have to comply with it. Office has observed that some qualified people are performing pressure vessel Hydraulic tests without following the norms in some plants. The rules have been violated and accidents are also more likely to occur because of this. Therefore, it is recommended that every competent person to inform the district office in writing ten days prior to the hydraulic test or gamma scanning of the factory’s pressure vessels. And the local office has to be recorded in the logbook about the matter being reported.
